Winter on the Island - British Columbia

Winter sky and low lying clouds on the hillside gave way to layers of texture and an interesting distant tree-line. Although a very cold day for 'en plein air' painting, the image was clear, somewhat abstracted, tonal and great to paint. The wind threatened to take my painting into the ocean several times!
