Whispers on the Wind

This piece is oil on acrylic primed linen. These sisters were something special. They were part of our lives for two decades and taught us so much. Even still they are challenging me. We live in eastern New Mexico and I did my best to create the movement of the wind and and the horses as it was in life. As I painted them, I could just almost feel them breathe on me. These two continue to speak to me and that is why I call this piece "Whispers on the Wind".
