Far Far Away

This painting represents cautious optimism and the duality of human nature. The Galaxie 500 launched in the heat of the Space Race during the Cold War. 1965 is a year vexed by tragic riots, suppression and war – these calamities were countered by reformation, freedom and invention. I got to thinking, perhaps tragedy is the mother of innovation. Speaking of tragedy... I’m old enough to remember the Dewey Decimal System – my mind is still blown that unlimited information is just one click away. It’s easy to take for granted how much is available, and how far we have come. If I fixate looking upward and outward, I tend to forget about my piddly ass problems. Did you know we are made of stardust? 100%! Elementally fresh and ancient at the same time! We are all made of the same stuff my friends – including weirdos (like me), jerks and smarty pantses too.
