3 Minutes of Space

This piece was painted with oils in the studio from an earlier plein air study and other reference materials. The contrast between the flow of traffic and the sudden break, that moment of space and silent caught my eye then. Looking at it recently, in the midst of this pandemic, the distance, the space between all of us, the solitude that came out of it all, compelled me to paint this piece.
