A short walk from my home/studio is this little creek that I visit throughout the seasons. I have pulled my red sled with painting gear and painted near this spot. This pastel painting started with a small full color study, testing values and hues to make the colors sing. Winter paintings are especially fun to paint and using pastel is well suited for the subtle shifts of color temperature.
