"Ellis Hollow- Winter Light"

A new studio oil but basen on a plein air painting. The view of this landscape with an old barn and historic house is near my home and studio- just outside of Ithaca, NY. It has appealed to me for years as I ride my bicycle past it and drive past it frequently. This motif is appealing in all the seasons, but the beauty of late afternoon sunlight is what attracted to me to paint this work.
