This studio painting was created using several plein air sketches made at Waterton Lakes Park, AB, Canada. Those sketches were made prior to the horrific fires in 2017. It was difficult to paint this years later without wondering how the area looks today. You hear that wildfires will allow wildflowers to present more fully the following season. I wonder.
