Also called Blanket Flower, Arizona Sun (gaillardia) are prolific bloomers in the in the dry plains of the U.S. Their colors span from purple reds to full yellow making them a joy to paint. Because they grow wild in these areas, I wanted to capture that feeling of chaos and color with this piece.
