Another painting done in Essex, Massachusetts close to the Greenbelt. I found this magical spot by accident… When my younger son was 3 years old, he would wake up and sneak out of the house. Our summer house was on the beach in Manchester by the Sea, and he was a little hellion, to put it mildly. Therefore, I would set my alarm for 4:45am and be waiting for him when he snuck out of his room. I’d pop him in the car and we would drive around to look at the sunrise and boats, and that’s how I came upon this spot.
