Lecce Doorway, Oil On Canvas Board, 11” x 14”, $3,600
In May of 2019 I spent a month painting and studying Italian in Lecce, Italy. The light is magical in Lecce and thus I decided to gold leaf the canvas before painting, to let the gold shimmer through the brush strokes. The Baroque architecture is breathtaking and part of what makes Lecce a World Heritage Unesco site.
