Naufragio

The series "Naufragio" (Shipwreck) reflects my childhood experiences (I almost drowned and my family had to flee Angola with me because of the civil war) and relates them to the current refugee movement across the Mediterranean.
I use a technique whereby I kneel on the floor and apply pressure to the paint and mix the different layers.
I used acrylic on acrylic paper
