My Golden Retriever, Rilee, retrieving a stick in a shallow mountain stream... No one can aspire to be as happy as a retriever playing in the water, on a warm sunny day. This is an impressionistic memory of a wonderful autumn Sunday drive. Rilee was always in the back seat, so of course she was there when we went hiking and exploring.
