This painting features a magnificent stampede of horses from the Mahlstedt Ranch, a quintessential sight in Eastern Montana. This painting is inspired by the artists' local surroundings of wide open spaces combined with an ancient charcoal sketch made by her grandmother of ghostly, spiritual wolves that combined to make up the bodies of horses.
