Golden Era Boomtown, 30X24, oil on linen panel, is based on an early morning scene of boomtown activity in 1930's Desdemona, Texas.Look closely and you will see many stories within: the man with the horse drawn wagon carrying supplies to a drilling site and being confronted with gas powered vehicles; the gentleman in the lower right either trying to identify what a jack pump is or considering the purchase for a completed well; a once quiet town suddenly overflowing with boomtown activity and oil money, wooden drilling rigs sprouting like weeds on the prairie. There are a hundred stories in this scene when let your imagination take you there.
