Tulips in Vase with Red Velvet Cloth on a stone table. This vase was my inspiration as I learned from an art teacher that painting silver is nothing more than the reflections of colors around it, you don't mix silver paint to paint it, you look at what light it is picking up from its surroundings. So I began analyzing each part of the vase and realized how right she was and made my attempt and this is my very first still life - I felt so accomplished after completing it and the red velvet cloth. The work I am most proud of as it was difficult for me but rewarding. After this painting I felt I could paint the rotorhead of the helicopter I submitted...painting metal doesn't intimidate me now.
