Arizona Landscape (Shadows at Dawn)

A painting created while road tripping through Arizona, a longtime dream of mine. With two friends I had just been picked up by hitch hiking, we camped overnight in a park, and woke the next morning to hike through these fields of cacti and bathe in a pool before driving to New Orleans. I had time to begin this painting that afternoon in the desert, and complete it once I arrived in New Orleans, inspired by the beauty of my roadtrip.
